Javascript & Dynamic Elements PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 29 December 2006

We started off with Elixer 2.0 providing a custom login module along with the template to provide a nice integrated look for the login element. With Sporticus we've taken this to the next level.

We're including 2 more complete modules with this template. These modules have CSS defined directly in the template's CSS file so that when you install them and publish them in the correct module location, they'll look just like they do in this "demo".

In the coming months we'll refine these modules and release them GPL so the Joomla! community at large, but for now, only RT members will get access to these great dynamic features.

O.K. so what are we including this month?

RT SlideShow

This is a great module based on jondesign's smooth slideshow 2.1, a mootools based slideshow script. slideshow

RT Scroller

This is based on argilla's aScroller 100% standards compliant javascript scroller. slideshow

Live Search

This is currently not in module form, but it's an adaptation of Jomres' Shep Search, with some fixes for keyboard navigation and some other code changes. It's built right in to the template. slideshow

Slimbox

You probably have heard of lightbox, well slimbox is an optimized clone based on mootools that was so popular in Elixer2.0 we brought it back in Sporticus.

Living in Canada

You can live in Canada as an immigrant or as a temporary visitor. This section has a wealth of information on immigration and settling in Canada and frank advice on business in Canada.

The NewCanadian is back!!

The NewCanadian Magazine was born in September 2002, when a group of young writers and graphic designers came together for its inaugural issue. The magazine sought to write on Canadian business culture and politics reflecting Canadian society as it truly is. The  Magazine was distributed through the Globe and Mail and soon found a loyal following amongst opinionmakes and scholars.

In January 2006, faced with ever increasing costs of printing and distribution, the NewCanadian ceased print publication. The NewCanadian Magazine is back as a rejuvinated, online publication. We will continue in the best journalistic traditions, independant, free and vocal.

We invite writers and grahic designers to contribute their talents in making this site , the last word on Canada.
